Abstract:
The Project is coordinated by Clermont Auvergne Metropole (FR) and participated by additional eight EU partners: ENEA (IT), Municipality of Galati (RO), Association of Bialystock Functional Area (PL), CIM Alto Minho (PO), Palma di Montechiaro (IT), Métropole Rouen Normandie (FR), Municipality of Elefsina (GR), and City of Tampere (FI).
Local authorities embrace the ambitious goal to become zero-net energy territory within the next 30 years. Thus, Urb-En Pact project’s aim is to define the local action plans to become zero-net territory (ZNT) by producing and delivering local, renewable and regulated sources of energy by the implementation of an energy loop which gathers all the stakeholders of this circular economy, especially the consumers included in this fair trade business in and around the metropolitan area.
ENEA actions will be addressed to Lazio Region and in particular to the Municipality of Monterotondo. The final aim of the project is to realize a Local Action Plan to guide the city to attain energy savings, energy efficiency and sustainable production of energy by increasing the implementation of renewable sources, in order to open the way of the transition for becoming a “zero-net energy territory”.
