X-TENDO "eXTENDing the energy performance assessment and certification schemes via a mOdular approach"

Abstract:
The general objective of the project is to improve the compliance, reliability, usability and convergence of energy performance certificates (EPCs) between the various European countries, and at the same time support their evolution towards a future EPC scheme of next generation. The intent is to develop a modular IT tool (toolbox) that will aim to support policy makers in the process of evolving towards a next generation scheme of building energy performance certification. ENEA is involved in the project as a "implementing partner", with the task of carrying out a series of test cases with the aim of demonstrating the applicability of the next generation EPC features. The role of ENEA is to apply some modules of the toolbox on real buildings by verifying the applicability of the features to be developed within the project and the usefulness of the toolbox that will be made available to policy makers.
